At the Museo del Novecento in Milan, next to the main exhibition, jr the focus is dedicated to the photographic work, partly unpublished, created by Ada and Ardessi jr Act, authors who for decades have worked closely with Bruno Munari, jr testifying to the principal moments of professional and human story of the author. jr The iconographic study extends and contextualises with greater force AA + A. Bruno Munari. Portraits, double staff presented at the Centre for Contemporary Art Lugi Pecci of Prato, in 2007. Photographs showing the elusive return semantic complexity of Munari and scratch the stereotype of teaching which has been invested jr over the years, preferring the revelation character near the artist against his compositional imagination and a possible overrun.
At the end of the path who have seen we have seen, is exposed for the first time also the last portrait of the artist asked Munari Act shortly before his death. Ada Ardessi interviewed by Espoarte says:
"I met Bruno Munari at the end of the fifties, we were at a party at the home of Paul Chip, I was a close friend of the Tuscan artist and had already begun to collaborate jr with him. At that time I was introduced to Bruno, just as a great artist. It was a joy to meet him, I still remember, it was fun but so simple that it was impossible not to empathize. From the beginning he showed himself deeply interested in the fact that I was a photographer, it seems strange to say it now, but it was pretty rare to see who realized reportage of art. Then there was absolute urgency to document and there were very few means to do so. The photography was a unique medium, in every sense, and, unfortunately, not available to everyone. Not like today. "
We start from the title of the show: we know that this formula was often used by Munari, with a sense always changing. What is your experience jr and why these words were chosen jr as the title? Who have seen we have seen is a phrase much loved by Munari to subvert familiar with the relationship between the self-representation, the size of the portrait and its visual appearance reflected. It is an expression often used and reinterpreted jr during our long periods of cooperation and moments of friendship, but at the Museo del Novecento becomes a way to describe and draw with his laconic way of being. The way to do, to compose belonged to a single man. To me, who have seen we have seen is a reminder, so for those who remember him, but for those who loved him, and those who kept him at a distance; jr is a phrase that seems to conclude quickly a speech, but in reality, it reflects and therefore it continues ideally, in space and time. Let me explain: Bruno Munari was a person fluid, a sweet personality, was a kind of feather, an impalpable observer who gave joy to listen jr and watch. When he was next door seemed to follow a fluid, he gave lightness to the invention, without the use of rhetoric and without ever getting bored. The importance of his discoveries was an echo that others attributed to him. He was always affable, but steadily taken from their world, and it faithfully listening. His reticence came, I believe, by a continuous external iridescence at its center, an energy that allowed him to move from one place to another, from one object to another, from one idea to another in constant transformation, almost as if his body had no weight. Who is for this reason that we have seen we have seen, as the title of photographic journey to the Museum of the twentieth century, subverts the common jr language for irriderne the dormant sense and remember the many ways of a man. The ways of looking and being looked at.
What was the relationship of Munari with photography? From the pictures jr shows a conscious and at ease in front of the way I see the goal; What you asked photographers? When I was with Bruno I never knew what to expect. At the beginning of the sixties, especially for a woman, it was difficult and expensive to do the fotograf
